He was born in Pawtucket on August 20, 1995 and resided in North Providence.
Zef was kind-hearted and funny and was known for his sarcasm. He was a die-hard Patriots fan and a lover of everything Star Wars. He loved his big family and enjoyed traveling and spending time with them. After beating Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (2016), his one wish was to travel to Cape Verde, the birthplace of his family to give back to the children of the islands. In 2018, he was able to fulfill this wish with twenty-five of his closest family members. He enjoyed eating Mexican “carnitas” at his favorite restaurant, El Charro where he frequented.
Zef was a graduate of North Providence High School (2013). He completed his Associates Degree in Fire Science (2016) & obtained EMT certification in 2016. Most recently, he worked for Citizens Bank where he was promoted to supervisor after a short time. He was loved and adored by his coworkers and peers.
Zef’s proudest accomplishment was becoming a Dad and he said this quite often. He is survived by his beautiful daughter Aubrey Rose Domingues, his life partner Brianna Pearson, his mother, Matilda Xavier, his stepfather, Pedro Xavier, his father Zeferino Jose Domingues Sr, his brother Ryan Xavier, and his sisters Ava Domingues and Mariana Xavier.
Besides his parents, siblings and life partner, he also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Maria & Daniel DeBarros and paternal grandparents, Helena Domingues and Jose Domingues, his maternal great-grandmothers who also played a large part in his upbringing, Julia Santos(Vovo) and Anna Pina(Maimai).
He also leaves behind his aunts Denise DeBarros, Diane Pina, Deolinda Ramos, Missy DeBarros and Caroline Domingues, his uncles Napoleon “Titio” DeBarros, Cesar Domingues, Ryan “Daddio” Murray, Elmer Pina, Manny Domingues and Jose Veiga. In addition, he also leaves behind his nephew Ryan Xavier Jr, cousin-brothers whom he loved dearly, the Anchor Boyz, and many, many cousins and friends whom he adored.
Zef was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed by all, but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am on Monday, February 8 at Saint Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, RI 02904.
